Sanjay Dutt is a Bollywood actor and film producer. He is also associated with a lot of politics and is also notorious for the Mumbai bomb blasts in 1993. Dutt is the son of famous film artist and politician Sunil Dutt and actress Nargis. He started working in Hindi films in 1981. After that, he starred in many famous Hindi films. He also acted in films like romantic, comedy, and acted as a criminal, thug and police officer, for which he received unprecedented praise from his fans and film critics.

Dutt was arrested in April 1993 for helping terrorists, under the Terrorist and Disruptive Activities (Prevention) Act (TADA) for placing illegal weapons in his house and possessing one AK-47 rifle. After spending 18 months in jail, he got bail in April 1995. He was sentenced to six years rigorous imprisonment in July 2007. In a judgment of 21 March 2013 of the Supreme Court of India, he was sentenced to five years rigorous imprisonment in the 1993 Mumbai blasts case.

Dutt was born on July 29, 1959, at the house of Bollywood stars Sunil Dutt and Nargis. His education took place at Lawrence School, Sanau near Kasauli. In May 1981, his mother died three days before his film’s debut. He is known in films for his various acts, including his controversial actions, drug intake etc. In 1982, he was sentenced to 5 months imprisonment for his illegal possession of narcotics. After the exit from the detainee, he spent two years in the United States.

He spent most of his time in the Texas Rehab Clinic (Texas Rehab Clinic) in the US. After that, he returned to India and paid attention to his career.He was arrested in 1993 under TADA for the possession of illegal arms in Mumbai. For this, he was in jail for two years, but he was released on bail in October 1995.

Once again in December 1995, he was arrested and released on bail in April 1997. He sent to Arthur Road jail of Pune for seven months during the period from 2006 to 2007. On July 31, 2007, the TADA court sentenced him to 6 years in jail for possessing illegal arms, after which he was taken to Yerwada prison in Pune. On March 21, 2013, the Supreme Court of India reduced the sentence of 6 years to 5 years in view of his good behavior and conduct.
